What’s the difference between hosting and care?
Hosting is just where your website lives.
Care is what keeps it running properly.
That includes updates, monitoring, backups, and fixing issues before they become bigger problems.
Most problems we see come from sites that are hosted… but not actively maintained.
Do I really need ongoing maintenance?
Absolutely Yes, especially if the site is fully custom, taking payment, or has a lot of traffic. In additona With WordPress.
Plugins, themes, and core files are updated regularly.
If those updates aren’t managed properly, your site becomes slower, unstable, or vulnerable.
It’s not a “set and forget” platform.
What does the Security Layer actually do?
It adds a protective layer in front of your website.
Instead of relying on your site to defend itself, tools like Cloudflare block threats before they even reach it.
That includes:
- Malicious traffic
- Bots
- Known vulnerabilities
It significantly reduces the likelihood of issues.
Is my website likely to be hacked?

What does “fair use” mean for Recovery Cover?
Recovery Cover includes standard WordPress or Platform-related issues up to a reasonable time allowance.
Although unlikely, if something more complex comes up (e.g. third-party breaches or heavily compromised sites), we’ll let you know before doing any additional work. At the end of the day if it's out of our control, it's unfair for us to be left out of pocket or picking up the tab.

How often are backups taken?
This depends on your plan, but all sites are backed up regularly.
Higher-tier plans include more frequent backups and better recovery options.
The key thing: backups are monitored and actually usable.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my hosting plan?
Hosting Yes, and we’ll guide you if needed.
Most clients start lower and move up once their website becomes more important to their business. Security on the other hand, we only offer one package
What plan should I choose?
Simple rule:
Just need it online → Foundation Care
Rely on it day-to-day → Managed Care
Want performance and growth → Performance Care
If downtime would hurt your business in terms of credibility or financially or a hack could affect your customers (eg if their personal details become compromised): Add Security + Recovery
Do I need Security Layer and Recovery Cover?
They do different things:
Security Layer → reduces risk
Recovery Cover → protects you if something happens
You can have the security layer without the recovery, but together, that’s where real peace of mind sits.
What happens if I don’t choose any protection?
Nothing… until something does.

Will this slow my website down?
No, in most cases, it improves performance.

Do you support websites you didn’t build?
Not as a rule. But if transferred to our servers then Yes.
We’ll usually do a quick review first to make sure everything is set up properly before taking it on, but we do not offer security for websites not on our servers.
